Community Support Program

We helped you with your mortgage and now we help others!

We created this company because we have a passion to serve.  From our communities to our employees, we want to make a difference in the lives of the people around us.  From monthly employee charity awards, to our Hometown Heroes program, to our employees volunteering for charities dear to them, we are focused on giving back.

Through donating to great local non-profit agencies and amazing individuals, we are working to improve the lives in our communities.  Whether it is providing a check to a local church or organization or to an individual in need, we believe that our financial status is not the only measure of our success.

We hope that the organizations and people that inspire our employees to give – will inspire you also.  Here are the charities that we have donated either time or money to since we’ve implemented our award program.  Please check out their websites and hopefully YOU will be inspired too!

Prayers for Ashley Franklin
When Charlotte, NC residents Kelly Baldwin and Karen Reid purchased their home with the help of ALCOVA Mortgage’s Senior Loan Officer Korky Mann, they had no idea that months later he’d be lending a helping hand in their time of need. On April 26, 2016, Karen’s daughter, Ashley, was in a horrible car accident, and doctors said that she wouldn’t live through the night. But the mother of two small children Gaige (8) and Kinslee (6), fought hard to stay alive. While she was a living miracle, the accident took quite a toll on her body—leaving her with multiple broken bones, internal bleeding and serious head trauma.Ashley’s family watched in awe as she struggled to live and they realized the road to recovery would be long and expensive. They began planning to make life accessible for her once she was well enough to return home. While feeling blessed with her recovery, they also realized the renovations to her house, the ramps, vehicle/lift, and possibly a hospital bed, a lot of other handicap medical equipment and probably years worth of therapies were going to be quite a financial hardship. When friends of the family started raising funds to support the family, ALCOVA jumped in to help.In October, ALCOVA’s Senior Loan Officer Korky Mann and Southeast Sales Manager/Corporate Recruiter Barbie Brown visited with the family and made a $500 donation to help.“With the help of God and Korky, we got the house of our dreams. Little did we know it would be the house we would NEED to bring our Ashley home to. Ashley is paralyzed on her left side, traumatic brain injury and is legally blind due to only being able to see out of the right side of both of her eyes,” said Kelly Baldwin. The ALCOVA donation will help to renovate the home to accommodate Ashley’s needs. Kelly Baldwin shared, “Ashley is ready to come home, but our house renovations have not even started yet. We are so grateful to Korky and ALCOVA Mortgage for all you continue to do for family.... IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A FAMILY... AND A VILLAGE WE HAVE FOUND!” Ashley’s family continues to ask for prayers and support. Friends have set up a gofundme account to help with recovery and medical expenses at:
